The Little Treasures collection (2022–2023) gathers a series of small, hand-stitched fiber compositions born from a playful, spontaneous method I call the #FilsFreeTechnique. The first pieces emerged at the end of 2022 after a conversation with Martine, a collector and friend, and each work carries that quiet, generous origin: intimate experiments in texture, rhythm, and scale that invite slow, attentive looking.

Each composition measures 20 × 20 cm including its backing and is mounted on deep black Fabriano paper, set within a black mat and presented in a shallow 3D frame. I construct every piece from rescued threads reclaimed from old batiks, turning upcycled remnants into delicate, poetic abstractions that read like tiny jewels—small objects with a surprising presence. The stitched surfaces choreograph gentle gestures and impressions of movement against the dark ground, offering pockets of light, tension, and hush.

Little Treasures are offered individually or as curated groupings—pairs, trios, or larger ensembles—to create personalised wall arrangements. They make considered gifts and meaningful additions to an evolving collection: over time a selection of these small works becomes a singular, personal archive of contemporary textile art.

This limited edition honours sustainability as a working principle. By choosing recycled materials and deliberate handcraft, each piece carries ecological intent alongside aesthetic care. Early works in the series bear my full name, Aleksandra Kubuschok, while the pass‑partout note “Minimis” signals the collection’s small scale and concentrated intensity.

These pieces are invitations—to slow down, to collect with intention, and to find quiet delight in the stitch. Each Little Treasure is both a handcrafted object and a tiny manifesto: beauty, restraint, and renewal stitched together.
