Points d'Attaches

The “Points d’attaches” was created between 2020 and 2021. This is the very first collection in which I used the #FilsFreeTechnique, perfecting it in the process.

Recycled threads from my old green and turquoise batiks are the basis for all these compositions, while the black ‘Fabriano’ paper provides a velvety matte background that brings out all the nuances of the thread colours.

The compositions in this collection are abstract, but remind us of the organic elements of nature. Small woods, wild vegetation that lives its own life and takes on curious and unruly forms, this is what we can imagine in these works.

This collection was created during the pandemic, and is an ode to nature and its beauty. It is an invitation to take a journey deep within ourselves and our relationship with Nature to rediscover its fascinating world of colours and materials, and to marvel at it.

All the works are 30cm x 40cm (with a passe-partout).
