Resilient Heart 2025

Resilient Heart is a mixed-media drawing from the Two Little Hearts collection, created for a charity event and born from resistance.

What began as a drawing that refused to work—unruly, uncertain, and full of doubt—was slowly transformed through embroidery.

Threads stitched over hesitation, layer by layer, until the heart emerged: vibrant, textured, and defiantly luminous.

Swirls of red, purple, and yellow pulse against a deep, expressive background, echoing the long process of becoming.

This piece carries the weight of time, frustration, and the quiet courage to continue.

It reminds us that beauty doesn’t always arrive easily—it’s often coaxed from failure, stitched through uncertainty.
