Two hearts, caught in a moment of pursuit.

The turquoise one leans forward, stitched with light green sparks, its strokes swirling like wind. The rose heart, softer, quieter, drifts just ahead—unstitched, but radiant.

On black Fabriano paper, their dance unfolds: a chase, a flirtation, a story of longing and connection.

Created for the Two Little Hearts charity event in Strasbourg, this 20 x 20 cm drawing is a fragment of The Tree of Heart, now transformed into a duet of motion and emotion.

The Derwent coloured pencils layer texture and tension, while the stitches trace urgency and care.

Framed in black, the composition becomes a stage—where turquoise reaches for rose, where hearts move not apart, but toward each other.

It is a drawing, yes—but also a chase, a rhythm, a tender pursuit in the time of distress.
