Off stage- now embraced in collector's story

Like masks drifting through a midnight canal, these hearts shimmer with secrecy and grace.

Layered in green and turquoise, stitched with green sparks, they evoke the quiet drama of Venetian masquerades—each one a persona, a pulse, a hidden story.

Drawn on black Fabriano paper with Derwent coloured pencils, their textures swirl like silk and shadow.

This 20 x 20 cm fragment, cut from The Tree of Heart, was created for the Two Little Hearts charity event in Strasbourg, supporting flood victims in Dolina Kłodzka.

The stitches glint like carnival lights, outlining not just form but feeling.

Framed in white and black, the composition becomes a stage—where hearts perform their silent spectacle, where care wears its most radiant disguise.

It is a drawing, yes—but also a procession, a masked ball of tenderness.
