Off stage- now embraced in collector's story

" Calme_2 " stages another quiet choreography of colour, texture and form: layered bands of turquoise above lime-green threads undulate across a velvety black Fabriano ground, suggesting a compressed landscape where sky and water converse.

But in the left down corner, the horizontal structure changes, becoming more detached, loose. 

Texture is the work’s director — hand-stitched tensions, overlapping wefts and occasional frayed ends create a tactile relief that catches light becomes less stable, wobbly.

The form is economical and rhythmic : horizontal lines behave like a chorus, in which different voices begin to give a high pich.

A dotted lime-green stitch at the lower edge reads like a stage mark, anchoring the piece while allowing the upper threads to breathe into space.

Reimagined from recovered threads, "Calme 2 " transforms humble material into a small-format performance where every stitched gesture matters.

Ideal for interiors that value quiet staging however with a little bit of nonchalance which offers a contemplative vignette of rhythm and gentle movement.
