Up to the Surface 2023

#FilsFreeTechnique on black "Fabriano" paper mounted with a black passe -partout

Off stage- now embraced in collector's story

"Up to the Surface", a unique work of art embodying a delicate dance of colors and textures. Against a deep black background, this 20 x 20 cm square intrigues with its simultaneous simplicity and complexity.

Made with recycled threads from batiks, this embroidered paper piece reveals a range of  yellows and green touches. The threads, dense and intertwined at the base, rise lightly, creating a sense of ascending movement, evoking strands of light seeking to break the surface.

Each thread varies in thickness and direction, forming a rich texture and subtle shadows. Thin tendrils escape from the core of the work, reaching the surrounding dark, adding a delicate and breathable dimension.

Green accents punctuate along the outer contour, like the wake of an emergence in progress.

"Up to the Surface" is much more than a simple image; it's a moving micro-ecosystem, symbolizing repair and slow ascension. Offer yourself this captivating piece, inviting contemplation and discovery of new perspectives.
